IAPP: Brave Browser Aiming to Enhance Privacy by Avoiding AMP

Brave Browser has revealed that it bypasses the Google hosted accelerated mobile pages (AMP) service and takes the user directly to the original page to ensure user privacy. Google’s AMP framework is a web component that makes available user-centric web content including ads, media, and offers. Brave says that this arrangement makes the pages most beneficial to Google. AMP has earlier been under fire because it allows Google to monopolize the web.
The company says that AMP affects user privacy and experience and the ‘DE-AMP feature re-writes the links or redirects to non-AMP pages to bypass the AMP pages.
